RAMWorks IIII Kit v1.1, SOJ To DIP Adapter, and TransWarp GS Upgrade GALs.
The RAMWorks IIII Kit v1.1. It’s a user assemblable kit using through-hole parts, and comes with 4Megs of RAM. It takes about 1 hour to fully assemble, and is a good beginners soldering project. The project is also Open Source so you can edit and experiment with how the board is programmed and learn deeper about how CPLDs and your Apple II work. Great for beginners looking to learn more about electronics and custom logic.
The RAMWorks IIII Kit is based on AE’s RAMWorks III card, however it uses more modern 4Meg x 4bit DRAMs premounted on our own SOJ to DIP Adapter. The card provides a IIe user with 4Meg of Auxiliary RAM. Comes with all parts, and detailed instructions for assembly are available on our Wiki. You require / supply soldering tools, basic soldering knowledge and common sense as not to kill yourself and burn down your home, and some basic tools like Wire Snips.

We have rereleased our nearly world famous SOF 2DIP Adapters. These are the same type of adapters used on the RAMWorks IIII Kit to mount the SOJ DRAM and convert it in to DIP. We now offer two sizes – 32 pin and 28 pins. Comes in “kit” form and the user must solder it together. PCB accepts 300mil and 400mil wide ICs.
These adapters features a DIP Plug which allows it to mate with standard sockets without the worry about ruining the socket due to “socket stretch”. Other adapters use 25mil Square Pins. You can however install square pins if you wish to use the adapter on a breadboard, although most breadboards will accept DIP Plugs.

The TransWarp GS Upgrade GALs have finally be added back to the ReActiveMicro Store, and now at a new low price of $36. As most already know, ReActiveMicro was the first to offer these replacement GALs back in 2006. Being committed to being Open Source we also released the programming files for those who wish to source their own ICs. For the rest we offer a low cost way to upgrade your Transwarp GS.

Are there still plans in the works for the 16MB RAMWorks Ultimate w/ VGA? I had heard that originally this kit was intended as a proof of concept for that.
Yes, there are still plans for the 16MB RAMWorks. And yes this kit was “proof of concept” for that project. However the next board would have RGB instead of VGA. Perhaps there will be a version with VGA or even HDMI, but that has yet to be planned out.
Ahhh, would that work with something like https://manilagear.com/product/apple-iigs-vga-adapter/ combined with a monitor that supports 15kHz, like a SyncMaster 712N?
