Quick update about the ROMX for Apple II and II Plus from TheROMExchange and the ReActiveMicro 27-series Apple II Plus Motherboards
The ROMX now works on the 27-series Apple II Plus Motherboards from ReActiveMicro. We now offer a “27-Series” version of the ROMX in the RM Store. It comes with a DIP-14 Plug to allow users to more simply install and use the ROMX.
The TheROMExchange posted a blog entry about the issue here: https://theromexchange.com/blog/2nd-march-2021
Since then several users have confirmed all is working perfectly and no issues have been reported. Existing users of the ROMX and the 27-series Apple II Plus Motherboard from ReActiveMicro can request a free DIP Plug if desired. Any user however can simple remove the 74LS04 at location H11 and install a jumper wire between Pin8 and Pin9 to allow the ROMX to work.
The ROMX comes as pictured, with ROMX system ROM adapter, Video ROM adapter, and connection cable. Available now for only $75 fully assembled for the 93-Series version, or $85 for the 27-Series version.

We also have plans in the very near future (24-48 hours) to make another announcement about a new PSU Enclosure project available in both assembled and kit options, and with fans and voltage meter options as well. A preview of the project can be seen on our Wiki: https://wiki.reactivemicro.com/Universal_Enclosure_PSU
Finally a low cost enclosure solution and meters for those who have been asking for them! More news to come…
And as always, be sure to check out our Wiki for more information on projects or for support. And be sure to subscribe to our news feed to be the first to know about our next release!
